Aftermath Restoration Frequently Asked Questions

It’s common to have a home inspector look over your property before sale, or for insurance purposes. However, these types of checkups don’t tell you much about the quality of your roof. While a home inspector will look at visible roofing materials, along with portions of flashings, vents, skylights, and chimneys, these are likely to be limited to the exterior or superficial elements of a home.

A roof inspection will cover areas that a general home inspector wouldn’t look for, such as:

  • Certifying that roofing materials, coverings, and components aren’t leaking
  • Walking on angled pitched roof surfaces to inspect materials up close
  • Looking for known manufacturer defects and signs of incorrect installation
  • Examining different roofing layers and materials that aren’t visible to the naked eye

In addition, our roof inspection will include a prediction for the life expectancy of your roofing materials, provide an estimate for any roofing problems that are discovered, and give you a certified warranty against future defects for two years.

Best of all, you’ll get all of that without spending a single penny.

Following a storm, fire, or other disaster, the first step towards a complete restoration is to assess the damage. After all, you can’t make repairs until you know what needs to be fixed, which materials are needed, etc.

However, not all damage is visible to the naked eye. That’s why it’s so easy for homeowners, inexperienced contractors, and insurance adjusters to miss items that are hidden from view. We begin every job by examining a roof or property thoroughly so we know the full scope of work to be completed and can explain the details to our customer.

Yes. Because we have experience working as insurance adjusters ourselves, we know the formulas and software packages they use. We will work with you to show your insurance company what kind of damage has been done to your building or property, and why repairs need to be covered.
